Russell Amsberry is a founding partner of the firm, The Amsberry Law Firm. The firm was formed in 1995 and Mr. Amsberry’s practice concentration is in the areas of employment law, family law, estate planning and probate, elder law, and commercial litigation.
Before establishing the firm, Mr. Amsberry served as a prosecutor for the City of San Antonio, a law clerk to Texas Supreme Court Justice Lloyd Doggett and completed a Lyndon B. Johnson Internship with the late, Honorable Henry B. Gonzalez. He has been chosen among his peers for recognition in the “Scene In SA magazine’s annual best lawyers of San Antonio” and is BV rated by Martindale Hubble, placing him among the top ten percent of all attorney’s in the U.S.
Mr. Amsberry has also argued successfully before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, on highly controversial and precedent setting cases involving civil rights and employment litigation. Among the published, precedent-setting cases are Fierros v. Tex. Dept. of Health, 274 F.3d 187 (5th Cir. 2001) and Blow v. City of San Antonio, 236 F.3d 293 (5th Cir. 2001).
